GOD’S TREASURED POSSESSIONS

There may be times we fail to grasp the beauty of the words written in the books of the Old Testament Minor Prophets (called minor because the books are smaller than those of Isaiah, Jeremiah and other prophetic books we are blessed with.) Today we are going to take some portions from the book of Zephaniah,

The introduction given in the Personalized Promise Bible says:  “We learn of how God treasures us and keeps us hidden within the hedge of His protection.

“As “GOD’S TREASURED POSSESSIONS”, He provides for us abundantly and cares for us meticulously.  As you make these Faith Confessions, know that God is carefully and lovingly watching over you at this very moment.”

Zephaniah 3: 3:  “I humble myself before the Lord and give due honor to the power of His majesty.  I seek Him with all of my heart and do all that He commands. I am submitted to Him in every way and He shelters me from the wrath to come.”

Verse 2: 7:  “I am showered with blessings from heaven and enjoy the abundance of my Father’s prosperity.  I shall own houses that I have not built and enjoy the riches that the enemy once gloated over.

“My Father is my provider. He watches over me with a relentless eye and restores to me all of the blessings that Satan has robbed from me.”

“Verse 2: 9:  “I plunder the lands of the enemy, taking back the riches that rightfully belong to me.

“God has decreed that this land belongs to His children.”

Verse 3: 9:  “I speak what is pure and just in the eyes of my Father—words of wise substance with a fixed purpose.

“I stand shoulder to shoulder with all of my brothers and sisters in Christ and never allow a thought of disunity or division to progress in my mind.”

Verses 3: 11 – 15:  “I cast all haughtiness and arrogant pride far from me.  I remember what manner of man / woman I once was and how God alone has raised me to the position that I now enjoy.

“My trust is not in the strength of my own might, but in the power of God working in and through me.

“By the strength of the Lord, I can live a completely sinless and holy life.  I speak only the truth and all of my words bring glory to God.

“I am continually satisfied with the abundance of His provision and I sleep in absolute peace, free of all stress, anxiety, and fear.

“I rejoice in all that my Father has done in my life; regardless of the circumstances.  I shout a perpetual cry of victory.

“Jesus has taken away my punishment and has secured my eternal relationship with my heavenly Father.

“He has stripped the enemy of all of his power.  Never again will I fear any harm.  Jesus, my Lord and my King, is always with me.”

THE JOY OF THE LORD IS MY STRENGTH!
