Gleanings for July 19

REDEMPTION is OURS

We will use the Word as a guide for our prayer again today. I begin by quoting from my journal of 02-20-06.:

“Father, I thank You for Your Word in Galatians 4 that tells me “when the fullness of time came, You sent Jesus, Your Son, to be born of a human person – Mary – He was born under the law so that He could REDEEM everyone who is under the law.” That includes everyone born into this world.

“The result of this “Gift” of Divine Love is that when we receive Jesus into our heart, we are adopted by God and become Your children.

You have sent Your Holy Spirit to indwell me and now I can say “Abba Father”- “Precious Papa”! I am no longer a slave but a child of Yours—Almighty God, my Heavenly Father.

“Thank You Dear Lord!! Those words are more than just a prayer taken from Your Word, I want you to know that I consider that Truth to be the very HEART of my life.

It is because of the relationship I know with You, the desire to continue to live here in this world as long as You give me strength is strong in my spirit.

“I believe it is YOUR WILL that I walk in Divine Health. I thank You for the healthy body you have given me. Help me to be diligent in taking care of my body which is the Temple of YOUR Holy Spirit.

First Corinthians 3:16 says: “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you.”

The prayer thoughts for that day came from Galatians 4 verses one through seven. In the remainder of the chapter Paul exhorts the church in Galatia to “stay on course—not to go back to their old ways of bondage.” See Galatians 4 Verse 9.

Then in Verse 19 he tells them: “My little children, for whom I labor in birth again until Christ is formed IN YOU.” That is such an important thought!! We must become: “Jesus, inside us minded”.

A comment in my Bible says: “Concern yourself with God’s Word becoming incarnate in you. Consider yourself under construction with Christ’s likeness as your objective.” That is GOOD!!!

We are all “under construction”--- thank the Lord; He is not finished with us yet!!! He has a lot of work to do on me, that I know for sure, but as He works, I can walk in His JOY and as I do that, I will have the strength to be victorious every day!
