Think about HIS LOVE

We shared thoughts in a previous Gleaning’s Devotion about how we can live our lives with a strong spiritual foundation every day. While reading through my 2003 journal, I came across an entry that reminded me of the truths we shared in that devotion. The writing from 10-11-03 began by quoting this Chorus:

“Think about His Love, think about His goodness;

Think about the grace that’s brought us through.

For as high as the heavens above, so great is the measure

Of our Father’s Love! Think about His love!”

(After reading that, this is what I heard the Lord say):

“As I wait on You, I hear Your Voice; it says to me, ‘you’ve made your choice—

You asked for strength; “I Am” is at your side, and in MY love, you DO abide.

So come what may, in ME you will stay; My Shekina Cloud will show the way.

And if the path seems hard to bear; remember, dear ones, “I AM” is there.”

“Thank You for that word Father, Son and Holy Spirit—YOU are our Shekina Cloud. You are the LIGHT when the way seems dark!

“Thank You for the FOUNDATION You have put us on which is the Written Word—it is a Word that will never fail to give the strength we are looking for! Hallelujah!”

During the last months of 2003 and into year 2004, our family was going though some testing times. The reason I shared the entry from that journal is to help you to know that times which seem difficult do come to each of us but, Praise God there is an Anchor which we can hold on to all the time, even during those storms!

That Anchor is JESUS, Who is the WORD made flesh.

Hebrews 4:14 -17 says that Jesus is our “Great High Priest, He understands our weaknesses because He faced all the same temptations we do, yet He did not sin.” Verse 16 from the New King James Translation says:

“For He did not take on the nature of angels but He did take on the nature of human beings.” (That is the side margin reference.)

Verse 18: “He is able to aid those who are suffering (or tempted)”.

More scriptures in future Gleanings will confirm the truth that we are not alone when times of “testing” come. The Word of God has proved to be a strong support to my family and me on many occasions.

God’s Word never fails! As you keep a strong grip on the Anchor of Hope, you will know the truth of this Word:

THE JOY OF THE LORD IS YOUR STRENGTH!!
