I Peter 2: 1 – 5: “I rid myself of all malice, hatred, and hostility. Deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind I cast far from my life.

“Like a newborn baby, I crave spiritual mild so that by it I may grow up in my salvation. As I grow, I continue to feed upon it, for it is only the mild that helps me to swallow the meat.

“And I will never stop growing—taking in all that the Lord has for me—for I have tasted of His kindness and love, and I know that He is good for me.

“I have come to the living stone—rejected by men, but chosen by God and precious to Him. In Him, I also have become a living stone. I have been recreated as a holy priest, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ my Lord.”

I John 3: 1 – 3: “How great is the Father’s love for me that I should be called the son/daughter of God! And that is what I am! I am now god’s own son/daughter!

“It has not yet been revealed what I will be at Jesus’ coming, but I know that when He appears I shall be like Him, for I shall see Him as He truly is. Therefore, having such a tremendous and awe-inspiring hope, I will purify myself, just as He is pure.”

I John 3: 5 – 7: “Jesus appeared in order to take away my sins. And my sins have indeed been taken away. I now have a new nature and a drive toward righteousness.

“I no longer practice sin in my life, for it is totally contrary to my new nature.

I fully understand that no truly born-again person will continue to live a sinful life.

“They may stumble here and thee, but to happily live in it goes against everything they wee recreated to be. Therefore, I know that anyone who continues in sin has neither seen Him nor known Him.

“I will not allow anyone to lead me astray. The one who does what is right is righteous, just as Jesus is righteous.

“The one who continues a life of sin is under the influence of the devil. The reason Jesus appeared was to destroy the devil’s work.

“Therefore, I am no longer the devil’s puppet. As a born-again child of God I do not continue in sin, because God’s seed remains in me. It is impossible for me to be happy and satisfied with a sinful life, because I have been born of God.

“Now this is how I know of a certainty that I have been born of God: I truly desire to do what is right and cannot be happy or satisfied with a life of sin.

“This proves that I have been given a new nature and I am truly born again

“I have become a member of the household of God. I love my brothers and sisters in Christ with all of my heart.

“My heart’s desire is to do what is right and to please my heavenly Father in every way.

“Those who profess faith, but are truly of the household of the devil cannot fool me. If they are satisfied with sin and hate the Church they prove themselves to be the children of Satan.”

THE JOY OF THE LORD IS MY STRENGTH!
